From gurning to gorgeous – Cara switches on the sass for Victoria’s Secret show

We always follow Cara Delevingne’s Instagram feed closely, mainly because the Brit model gives excellent photo fodder with her constant face-pulling and madcap videos.
However, the lead-up to her appearance in yesterday’s Victoria’s Secret show 2013 was something else.
Following both caradelevinge and karliekloss, we got to see everyone’s fave model up to her usual tricks during the day: Posting cheeky (like, LITERALLY) Insta-vids of her fellow models’ delières, making glitter angels during rehearsals and getting a ‘Kloss cut’ from Karlie herself.
During which, the model was casually clad in her preferred attire of choice – black skinnies, stomper boots and a slouchy T-shirt. So far, so Cara.
And then she did that thing; the reason why she is the ‘It’ gal and all round model of the moment. She got into her (super skimpy) gear and switched on Serious Model mode (like a real life Zoolander) and KAPOW! Sizzling hot sex appeal, right there.
We didn’t even care that she appeared to be wearing washing-up gloves.
So. Where can we get us some ‘Cara sass’ for the party season, please? We’d buy it by the bucket load.

JLaw hit out at E!’s Fashion Police during a Q&A about body shaming. You go gurrrrl.
Uh-oh. Jennifer Lawrence has mouthed off about Kelly Osbourne’s E! Panel show Fashion Police.
For the uninitiated (where have you ever been?), Fashion Police involve Osbourne ‘criticising’ the best and worst celebrity style every week, alongside Joan Rivers, George Kotsiopoulos and Giuliana Rancic.
However, during a Q&A session with Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer yesterday, JLaw slated the series, accusing it of offering women an “unrealistic” view of what their bodies should look like.
She said: “There are shows like Fashion Police that are just showing these generations of young people to judge people based on all the wrong values and that it’s okay to point at people and call them ugly or fat.”
“The world has this idea that if you don’t look like an air brushed perfect model u have to see past it,” Lawrence said. “You look how you look. You have to be comfortable.” Perhaps Jennifer’s getting in there first, in case the Fashion Police decide to diss her newly cropped haircut that she debuted earlier this week?
Clearly on a roll, Jen continued: “What are you going to do? Be hungry every single day to make other people happy? That’s just dumb.
In a final angry rant, Lawrence added: “They call it ‘fun’ and they say ‘welcome to the real world’ – and that shouldn’t be the real world,” she declared.
“It’s going to continue being the real world if we keep it that way. We have to stop treating each other like that and stop calling each other fat.”
Just when we thought we couldn’t love JLaw anymore! Be our best friend already, please?

At last night’s WGSN Global Fashion Awards, 28-year-old Laura Whitmore
sure didn’t hold back. Decked out in head-to-toe feathers, the presenter
showed off her legs in a Nicholas Oakwell mini dress.
She paired the feathered dress with some futuristic accessories,
including a wide metallic belt and chunky silver pumps.
However, by the end of the evening, the MTV presenter seemingly ditched
the silver belt she had been wearing earlier, and let her voluminous
dress stands on its own.
Laura was clearly excited about her over-the-top dress, tweeting before
the event, “Dressed as a cloud.. Nicholas Oakwell Couture.”
The Awards took place at the Victoria & Albert museum in London,
honouring individuals and bands who ‘push the boundaries of fashion. ‘
Amber LeBon was also in attendance, while Cat Deeley hosted the star-

Fashion icon and festival favourite Kate Bosworth is launching her latest collection with Topshop today…
There are two Kates when it comes to Topshop. Of course, the first is the Moss, with her supermodel status and countless designs for the British high street store. The second Kate is Bosworth, whose latest collection is being launched today.
After having already collaborated with Topshop for a capsule collection earlier this year, mirroring and inspired by her covetable Coachella festival-chic style, the actress and model’s Autumn/Winter 13 collection features 46 pieces, ranging from subtle white and greys to bold reds. The colour palette is inspired by Piet Mondrian; black and whites are mixed with foiled metallics, and off-set with a flash of red.
The collection focusses on a few key Autumn/Winter 13 trends and just four colours – white, grey, red and black.
Playing with the fashion binaries of masculine and feminine, oversized and tailored, Kate marries British high-street chic with her own New York-California stimulated wardrobe.
Kate said of the collection. “The collection is tailored and classic. For Fall, we wanted to create luxurious pieces with a stark minimalist approach. Slim silhouettes are cloaked in a masculine shape, staying true to the mix of masculine/feminine balance that exists in my personal aesthetic.”
Creative Director of Topshop, Kate Phelan comments, “The collection is everything you need to get comfortable cool effortless style. Simple T-shirt pieces and shirts with amazing leather jeans are the key to the book. Finish with the ultimate shearling coat and you’re done. Colours are classic; red and black with a touch of white and a flash of silver. Mix together to make it your own.”
The collection launches globally today and items range from ￡35 – ￡500. We can’t wait to get our hands on the pieces, especially the Navy collarless coat! To see a little sneak peek, take a look at our gallery here.
Check out Kate doing her thing in this video directed by Michael Polish, exclusively for her Topshop collection.

Watch Karlie Kloss, Anna Dello Russo, and Leandra Medine Talk Fashion
We’ve all been there—the fluttering in your stomach; the heightened heart
rate; the thought that nothing has ever seemed so right. It’s the perfect
fit. A match made in heaven. And the significant other is the most amazing
dress you’ve ever laid your eyes on.
But just as fashion lust can mirror that of, um, human desire, sometimes
clothing is just as fickle. We’ve had our share of style heartbreak
particularly painful saga involving a tiny Parisian boutique, a vintage
Chanel coat, and a non-negotiable flight time comes to mind—and that’s
the theme of Moda Operandi’s latest campaign with St. Regis Hotels &
Resorts. Karlie Kloss, Poppy Delevingne, and Leandra Medine joins a cast of other notables to share their own stories of “The One That Got Away,” a
series of anecdotes about vintage purses and runway looks that just slipped
from their grasps. That’s right en the industry’s most influential
people occasionally get down on their luck, too.
Watch the campaign teaser, below, and try not to get misty-eyed thinking of
your own lost loves.
